I've noticed that dining establishments don't carry very "baby friendly" menus. Sure they've got kid menus, and even have a FEW healthier options on them sometimes. But what about baby? I don't see many places offering items like applesauce, or fresh fruit (bananas?), or even some kind of steamed veggie side dish. If you've got a one year old who is eating but still doesn't have all his teeth for chewing, and you run out to the mall...and lunch time hits...but you forgot to bring a jar of baby food or something appropriate - what are you to do? I wish that restaurants would just add one or two items that could conceivably be considered safe for babies to eat.
What do you think? Would there be a big market for this type of offering? What foods would be quick and easy for restaurants to offer without causing them too much work?
